Saterday

Hello all,it's very quiet here today and not very busy, very unusual but soo nice.I'm looking forward to this weekend as there isn't much going on.The dinner we catered to on thursday evening went well, but i'm getting very tired of turkey dinners.Of course i'm getting tired of them but this is a new group of people every time ,so just two more dinners and then i'm done for the year.I have to do one on thursday for lunch to about 35to 40 people and that one i'm doing by myself,so it will be quiet in the kitchen. This past thurs. there were a lot of people helping in the kithchen and that really makes for a lot of laughter and joking.I just love that part of it!It was nine thirty when we were done.
We are having our children and grandchildren come over on the 29th and that's when we will celebrate Christmas,as all of them will be at the inlaws for Christmas this year. That gives me some time to get the food ready. There are just 20 so thats's not that many. The girls are going to do the baking for me this year as i have not as much time as it takes to make goodies. Then of course today i'm just doing nothing and i feel a bit guilty about asking them to do the work for me.Ohhh well i'll get over my guilt i'm sure.
The weather has been very nice here since wed. and the snow is all cleared from the highways and people are able to travel again without problems getting around. It sure didn't look good last weekend!I'm sure the school kids enjoyed it as they missed three days of school this week and went two days and now have their Christmas holidays,so good for them!
Well that's about all i have to write about this time. Have a safe weekend and God Bless.
Margaret

  1. You are really keeping busy Margaret. I like the side dishes that go with a turkey meal better than the turkey. Stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. YUMM!!
Merry Christmas Margaret to you and your family.
