Frustrated

Hello All
It's been a frustrating week! I have been trying to leave messages on you posts and am unable to get through.I have been in touch with the head honchoes but all they want me to do is change my password. I must have changed it 5 times and slowly running out of passwords. And it just doesn't change anything.So If you are wondering that i never visit you my friends i am unable until i get this cleared up. Because i'm computer illiterate it will take me a while. A Bit tricky

Clean up

Hello everyone! It' been a very long time since i have blogged,or checked on friends.I hope everyone is well? The weather is all at once turning colder and there is more time for blogging,I hope.We just had our 50th anniversary and there was a lot of things to be done. The girls all wanted to help but are a two hour drive from here and they are also working so that doesn't leave much time for them to help.First i went shopping for a dress,and then a suit for my better half.I set up an apointment with a photographer, made sure the church was available, ask the ladies to do a dinner and flowers and so forth. We had our picture taken at 12;45 and then rushed to an open house from 2-3:30 last Sat. We went home for a while to put our feet up and were at the church at 5:30 for meet our dinner guests. We had some young people come with their parents from when i had the daycare to the open house . They are in college now and still remenising about the good old days when they were at our place, and the spaggetie they so much enjoyed. We had aparty after the dinner at home for a few special guests so it got to be a very late night.
I made subs for every one for lunch on Sat and Sunday morning we had pancakes and sausage,the little ones really enjoyed that.Sun. afternoon i made home made soup and sandwiches,and pies for dessert.I think every one was full.We had 21 around the table,so you can imagine the floors were just very sticky and plain durty.On Mon. we took tea and cake to a friend in a nursing home and she was just delighted.From there we went to a visitation of a friend who's mother died on the Frid.We went home and quickly had a bite to eat and went to another visitation of another friend of ours who's mother also died Frid. Both ladies were in their ninties one was 93 and the other 98.. After standing in line again i felt my legs getting tired again.I am finnally feeling a bit like myself again.It took it all out of me.I'm not sure how every one slept but the kids did bring sleeping bags and air matreses.
So as you can see i haven't just sat around twiddeling my thumbs,but have enjoyed it all very much.I hope you all have a blessed weekend and stay safe. Hugs Margaret

Lovely Day

Hello all
The time just seems to go so fast,here we are at the end of Sept. already. It's been a bit cool the last couple of weeks ,not that i mind as i like the colder weather.It has also rained alot so it's kind of soggy out there except for today it was just beautiful out there. I have been keeping busey as i'm trying to get ready for our 50th anniversary. I first had to get a dress and that is like pulling teeth as they have mostly pants these days.I didn't want anything fancy and just use it one day and hang it in the closet.But that was impossible so i have an inbetween one.It is fancier than i wanted,oh well.Now it's the planning for the dinner and the open house that were having.The kids and grand kids are all coming home and staying over night,so that's going to be interesting.There is going to be some floor space used i'm sure. if i don't lose my mind in the next 4 weeks we will be alright.Oh by the way your are all invited to celebrate this day with us.We are having it on the 22 of oct.My parents made it to their 66th anniversary so i'm well on my way.
My better half just came in from his bike ride so i will talk to you all again soon.Have a great weekend and stay out of trouble.

Learning new things

Hello every one!
It sure has been hot lately,i just can't handle the heat well so i got busy with learning new things on the computer.In October we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary and i thought it would be a great time to stay in the house and get the invites done. Now of course the rest of you computer whizes don't think anything of this kind of project, but for me it's like going to the moon all on my own.Well you can be proud of me as i printed the cards and adressed the envelopes . I even printed them in nice french writing so they look very smart.
I know it's a long way away but when i'm not sure how to do things i like to get a head start so that i can fiddle around a bit and see how it goes.I'm pretty self reliant in things like this ,so i didn't want to ask the children to do this because i will never learn that way. So as we have another holiday here in Canada i spent my time printing envelopes,just to stay indoors where it's nice and cool!!!
When we got to church yesterday we found out that so many people ended up in the hospital in the last two weeks while we were away and all of them with very serious illness ,three of them have cancer one has a broken pelvis and one has bowlsyndrome which is totally out of hand.So this week will be busy visiting some of these folks as one is very very ill,and is not going to get better.She had skin cancer in her face two years ago and she underwent serious treatments and she was cancer free for a year but it came back with a fengance and humenly speeking it won't last very long as it seems to progress so rapidly.She is in her late seventies,and her husband to me yesterday that she is looking foward to seeing her Savior.That is so wonderfull to hear!!!

Finally

Hello Every one
It's been such a long time since i have writen a blog.First of all every thing is just fine,and we are both in good health and that is something to be thankfull for. We have had a very busy time with picnics and family reuions and the such,and it takes a bit longer to get over it as i get older.lol And once i got rested there seemed to be birthdays and all,and finally we were done with all of that then we went camping for two weeks and just got back on Mon. The weather was just so hot that it was mostly staying in the ac trailer as i'm no good with heat.We were in the U.S and it is always very nice to go there.We are always treated with respect and the camps are just so very nice.
I hope you all have been keeping well and that you survived the heat? It is supposed to get up there again this week.
I hear my hubby getting up so i should get some breakfast ready.I will be getting to read about your news later.

The Weather

Hello everyone
Finally I'm getting to write a little about what is going on in my life.The weather is what it is and the fields look like pools, and the crops are not getting in the ground,and the food we think is expensive now,it's going to get worse,unless it's going to turn around soon. And still we don't get it. We still think that the weather comes from this low or that high,but do we really ever think who is in control of it all?In the Bible it says if my people would just pray,not just a grocery list but a real commitment ,a real relationship with Him We all love to say oh my God ,but is He really your God?It also says not to take His Name in vain,yet we don't think twice to swear,it's like people can't stop saying His Name ,but don't want anything to do with Him."So why call Him your god"?To me it sounds as though you aren't very genuine,but you try to sound good.I thought we have enough people not being genuine.So think of it the next time you need to exclaim try putting your best friends name in that slot and see how he or she likes that?Now I know a lot of you are getting all huffed about this but think about what i said and see if you fit this profile?
Now for the rest I'm doing very well.After the girls were here for lunch two weeks ago i knew i had to wash the whole dinning and kitchen floor so i asked my hubby what he thought of changing the dinning room to the living room and the living room to the dinning room and he agreed. It was cold and wet so it was a good time to do it. So again i was busy as that took us three days to get that done.Our neighbors are not very young anymore as they are in their early eighties,and they have a virus that seems to get them pretty much out of commission.They have looked after them selves for meals,but their lawn and garden have sort of been kept by us so we are keeping up two yards right now,and we can't get to the grass much, only between the rain.

Very hot

Hello every one!I realized that i didn't write a post since Easter and that's a while ago.The weather has been very nice the last week or so,at least it was dry for eight days. The farmers are able to plant their crops now and here is hoping that they can get it done.for three days now we have had extreme hot weather , but just a bit of rain this morning but the sun is out again so that is good.But there are no complaints here as we see so many places that are flooded.
Tomorrow i'm having all the girls for lunch after church,and the we will go and sing in a nursing home,and then right back here to my place.This is my last Hurrah and i'm sure we will shed a tear here and there.I've been having a bit of trouble letting go,and letting some one else take over,but i know they deserve someone younger then myself.These things shall also pass! I a'm feeling a bit better than the last time i posted and here is hoping that it will gradually get better.I had a sciatica in my leg and it sure is keeping me at a slow pace,however with some special excersicing i hope to get it back to normal.I hope you all are keeping well?I shall do a little reading of you alls posts .

Easter Blessings

Hello everyone,it's been a while since i've posted,and it's not because i don't think about you all but don't always know what to talk about.The weather is mildly warming up,but we are not jumping to extreme temps.We are doing better then a whole lot of other people with tornadoes and all i'll take what we are getting and be thankfull.
I hope you all had a blessed Easter yesterday,i'm not sure if all of you are safe but pray that you are and if you are, be thankful and pray that the weather will setle down.

Talking about thankfull we had such a beautifull Easter yesterday.The whole family was together at my oldest daughter"s place so we had about 23 people for dinner. There were 2 grandsons birthdays last week and 1 this week.So we had a double celebration.We had such a good Easter Day service yesterday they had an ochastra playing with the organ , and our oldest grandson played with his Mother our daughter during the offertory.Whow they play so well together!!My Mother was an organist since she was 13,and i started playing in church since i was 19,and my daughter has been playing since she was 15,and her son has since he was 13.And if we think that God doesn't do things right,My daughter's son is adopted and he just plays all kinds of instrumente,just like his mother,and that isn't coincidence,that is predestined. That is what gets me excited because we never know what else God has planned for us.We can either get anxious about our life,or leave it in His capable hands.I prefer it in His hands it gives me a lot less worries.And He promised in His word not a hair will fall from our heads without His will,i don't want to take charge out of capable hands as that,as i'm not qualified!!

Hello all! it's been a while since i've posted,and that is for various reasons,i've been busy and am very sore. I'm not sure what is going on lately but i will try to get to my doctor some time soon. First i went to our annual womens conference in Hudsonville Mich.and that pretty much took care for that week as we did not get any sleep.We had 8 young girls along and they all got back at me for all the things i pulled on them for some years. I knew it was going to be my turn after several years of doing things and pulling tricks on them.I just had that week to recouperate that Frid. evening we had the annual sleepover with the girls group at church.And again i got it as i have pulled so many things on these poor girls,and meening it's my last year they just got me big time.And i was unable to get back at them as i'm just not doing as good as i should.Again it took me some time to get my sleep cought up.HAhA Now tomorrow we will be going to our girls rally about an hour and half from here.This is when all the girls groups get together for games and a speeker.So another long day,and i hope i can keep up with them,which i hardly think!I made all the lunches so we just have one cooler to take it's easier than trying to make sure everyone has their lunch bag.One more meeting after this and then i'm done with the girls group.The new lady sat in this past week and she is very good ,but a bit serious,hopefully she wont keep that up for there is a lot of joy in teaching them and the joy of the Lord is my strength is my theory, and that requiers a joy filled soul.But maybe she was a bit scared,i hope thats all it is! Now the spring is slowly coming and is not as warm as we would like however i'm sure it will come ,all in God's time... Hope to get on the computer a little more often then what i have been! Oh jaa we are also hosting the family reuion this June so i had to get the invites made up and mailed out. Now thats done, and one more thing we are also hosts of the church picnic with another couple in June.So still lots of things coming up. Now this is it for now and talk to you all soon. Spring

Hello everyone
Today is just one of many beautiful days that we have had recently and i'm enjoying it very much.The snow is melting away slowly and that means less flooding .That just goes to show that God is faithful,with the seasons after seasons,as he promissed.That brings me to the poor people in Japan,what a terrible situation,and yet we are told in Gods word that it will and shall happen,but we just don't take stock.We just don't want to hear it!Well folks God's word is truth,and why it happens ,the Bible tells us that He "God" wants us to serve Him and Him only.We are not just able to take all the goodness from His hand and not expect the bad.All He askes is to trust Him in the good times and the bad times. Romans 8 tells us that nothing can seperate us from the love of God,and that is my favourite passage. I just know that it is all in good hands,and He knows what we stand in need of. This world is in need of a return to our creator and Lord!
Now of my pedestal.!

Yesterday i did a thingie with my group of girls.They do badges troughout the seson.There is also a badge called Cooking badge and they have to cook a meal and serve it to their family.So i invited the girls to my house and do the cooking,and then they invited their mothers to come later to eat the meal.
We had such a good time preparing the food,and it all turned out very nice i would say. They are only 10-11 so not to expect to much,but they did great.
We had broccoli and cauliflower salad diced potatoes with spices on them and stuffed chicken breasts.For desert we had troufle and it was simlpy delicious!!!
After diner i told them that this was my last year ,that i a'm retiring from this activity and it was not a good responce.I told them that it would be better to have a younger counselor.
I do hate to give it up as i seem to have the nicest group of girls this year .but my arthrites is bothering me to much,so there we are i said it.And now that it's in writing it is more real.I guess i'm going to have to find somthing else to do.LoL
So this is some of my news and thinking!Hoping all is well withevery one?

Finally

Hello everyone
I know it's been a long time ,but i just didn't know what to talk about. When i read some of my posts i thought it sounded as though i'm so busy and yes i seem to have allot going on and am very thankful that there is so much to keep me busy. When i first retired i thought how am i ever going to fill my days, but now i'm thinking how am i going to get it all done.The girls program keeps me pretty much on my toes. This Saturday afternoon we are having a senior ladies tea,and i'm getting the program together,ordering the flowers and making sure the girls are making the goodies,getting all he goods we need to have nice afternoon.I'm looking for poems and games and all such stuff,so if you have anything that would be appopriate for ladies sixty five and older. I would love to hear from anyone that is out there.

For the rest i'm doing good and we are very healthy up till now,not even as much as a sniffle and that is something to be thankful for,as there are so many people sick around here.Well i have to run now as i should get some lunch for hubby as he is going to visit someone in the hospital. hope to talk to you again soon!

LONG TIME

Hello all,it's been awhile,but just didn't have much to say lately.I problably still haven't but thought to write a blogg anyway just so you wouldn't think i fell of the face of the earth. I am fine and very healthy but just celebrating birthdays and had my daughter over this past week from Frid. to Tues. with their little boys.After they were gone i just vegged out,just don't seem to have the energy to get going. My husband said just to get it out of my system by taking a few days.Today we were supposed to go to my brother in law's 80th birthday but they live three hours away and the weather wasn't great this morning so we phoned and wished him a happy birthday.It just seemed crazy to drive six hours for a luncheon in one day,and the roads were not very nice,so here i am writing a blogg.ha ha.It has been snowing most of the day but it's not real cold,which is nice.It sure has been cold of late, but that is to be expected in January so we will take it with a smile.We were spoiled by putting our car in the garage and just drive away,but the truck does not fit in the garage it's to long so we have to clean the windshield when we want to go. I know the rest of you do too, but when your used to just driving of it makes a difference.

I shall catch up with you all and see what you all have been up to.Enjoy you weekend and stay safe.

Post Holliday

Hello every one.Believe it or not i'm finally getting around to my computer and thought to write alittle about our Christmas and new Year.First of all i would like to wish you all a happy and healthy new year,may God bless you richly in this year that lies before us,and that we may rely on His grace to bring us through the good as well as through the hard times.
We had an amazing couple of days this week as we celbrated Christmas on Wed. All the children and grandchildren came and the house was a buzzzz.our oldest daughter's children had been sick with the stomach flue the night before but they said they felt fine to come.once gifts were unwrapped it all started again so they did sit through dinner but went home pretty much after because their dad wasn't feeling to well either.But the rest of us went on and they all stayed over night,so air matresses all over the family room and play pen for the baby,well you get the rest. it was a wonderful time we had . we had breakfast at our leisure and grandma made every ones favourite food ,so there was a lot of choice.After breakfast they all went outside to go tobogganing except my daughter inlaw and i and the baby.I got to clean up in a peacefull setting as there was no asking grandma can we do this or that?They all came in and had hot chocolate and goodies and then they seemed to just settle down against their parents or aunts and uncles and were kind of tuckered out,as none slept the best when their that excited the night before. But how grandma enjoyed it! I'm still tired but it is worth it.
And now we have to clean the poop deck and that is coming along but i thought i'll get to it next week. It's sooo easy to say that .But i'll get it done as fast as this body will alow me.
The weather is so mild that all the snow that we had two weeks ago is pretty much gone and the durty mud is showing.
For the rest there isn't much news here, just that time seems to go so fast and i just can't keep up with it .Does any one else have that problem?
