Busy

Hello Everyone

Well I had a unexpected busy weekend. We celebrated our fifty second anniversary on Sun. and some of our children and grand children came over to celebrate with us. So we had 12 more people at the dinner table. What a blessing to see eight of our grandchildren all growing into such wonderful teens and all having such fun with each other. They are all around the same age and that makes for a great day. It is hard to think that 52 years have gone by, it seems only yesterday that we got married. But then you think of all that we were blessed with, it is hard to think to forget that we are just simply blessed. Not to many people have the privilege to make it that many years.
  My sister and brother in law are having their sixtieth on Sat .so that is another mile stone. My parents made it to sixty six years. I guess we have a ways to go, but it seems to fly by.
     Well the weather is getting cold and  we are getting closer to winter, something to look foreword to.

Hello Everyone
     I just got a new computer, and with a little work I think I am going to like it. The key board is larger and I now have windows 8,  and it is so different then the old one.  You know what they say by trial and error I am getting there slowly.

                    It has been a rather cold in the mornings so far but the afternoons are very pleasant.
The sun is out and it feels as though it might just get to be a warm afternoon. The days are shortening especially in the morning it is just so dark. I'm not sure why we are waiting to change the time till Nov.?  They say" whoever they are" that we conserve energy but I can't see it .Now you have to have your light on in the morning and earlier at night. But the way the government is being run I don't think they know what conserving means!!!

A Hard Week

    This week was a very difficult week. Friends of ours had a baby on Friday night,  and he was born with heart problems, and died twenty minutes later. The funeral was on Wednesday and it was a heart wrenching time. The church was pretty much full of people , but I don't think there was a dry eye in the building, especially when the father carried in the casket. The parents are true Christians,  and that is so wonderful to see that their faith in God sustains them. I know that they will rely on that faith in the coming days and years.

                       For the rest of the week it just has been such beautiful weather it is like summer. Last night it was so hot in the sitting room there wasn't a breeze at all so we turned the fan on and that is October. Well we will take it !
            Today we are celebrating my brother in laws birthday, he turned 83 this week. I guess we are all getting older, but he is very healthy and that is a great blessing. Actually all of us are real healthy and those are blessings we don't always think of. We all are very active and that does help, but if your sick it is hard to be active and that does limit a person.
         I can't believe it is the end of the week already so I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy Gods goodness!

Cold and Hot

Hello All
We are camping last week and this week and what a difference in the weather. Last week we could hardly stay warm ,and  this week we can hardly  tolerate the heat.  Last week we had the furnace on in the morning. However we will get used to this.  We were joking around that we are in the states, but it felt like Canada lol. People in the U.S always think that Canada is so cold but we think it makes very little difference where we are when it comes to the weather.
    Well I have a new computer and it is very different from the old one and the keyboard is also a bit strange. but I will also get used to this change. A change is as good as a rest they say and  I don't know who they are. I bet they weren't as old as I am.  We will be going home on Friday and then we are to celebrate four birthdays on Saturday,  and so it goes week after week there is something. We will start a new next week. First I need to bake some bread. Store bought just isn't the same,  I guess we are just spoiled.

Good Day

Hello Everyone
I have been having some real problems with my computer of late. I can hardly get to my emails and trying to blog is next to inpossible.I get in and then it shuts down so it's very frustrating. But today is a good day and i spent a lot of time on  line.I hope you all have been keeping well? I'm doing great and we are very heathy ,and that is a blessing in itself.
   The winter has been up and down but not so bad at all.We have about 1to2 inches of snow so that is just right. Spring is just around the corner as Beth keeps up with it right to the second.

TO LONG

Hello every one
 It's been to long since i have posted a blog.I have somewhat kept up with my friends but never posted anything. I hope you all have been keeping well?  First of all i am fine and so is my family, my dil. is doing very well and she is finished with her treatments and is just being monitored by her doctors. She was a real trouper that one. She pretty much worked most of the time through her treatments although her boss would be very understanding.Her children had to grow up really fast as there was more responsibility placed upon them. I guess that's not all bad.
  The winter has been a bit weird, one day we can go in spring jackets and the next we need the heaviest coat we can find to keep warm. Life just keeps moving so fast that its hard to keep up with.Here we are Feb. already and I haven't done anything i set out to do this winter, but its not over ha ha.. We have about 6 inches of snow today but the winds are down.
   I hope to post a bit more  often but I'll see, I'm not one that has much news  so not much to write about.
